Chef Nydia Ekstrom, CEC, CFE

Executive Chef-Military

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Nydia was named ACF Chef of the Year in Northern New Jersey in 1990. She has been selected by the U.S. Navy to be a Ney foodservice evaluator, and in the last three years, she has inspected 25 Navy galleys and ships and has done training to over 250 galleys, ships and submarines. She graduated magna cum laude from the Hudson County Culinary Arts Institute of Jersey City.
