Spicy Creole Shrimp
This simple shrimp dish gets a boost of bold spicy notes from Knorr Intense Flavours Charred Chili Heat. It comes together quickly, but develops flavour as if the sauce has been simmered for a long time.

Prepare the Sauce

Extra virgin olive oil 125.0 ml

Onions, small dice 750.0 ml

Celery, small dice 375.0 ml

Red bell pepper, small dice 375.0 ml

Fresh Garlic, Chopped 60.0 ml

White wine 250.0 ml

Tomato sauce 375.0 ml
-
Water, filtered, room temperature 375.0 ml

Black pepper, freshly cracked 5.0 ml
Prepare the Shrimp

Extra virgin olive oil, as needed

Shrimp, peeled, deveined, 26-30 ct. 2.0 kg

Cracked black pepper, to taste

Prepare the Sauce
- Pre-heat saucepan over medium heat. Add oil, onions, celery and red pepper. Cook until they are soft/translucent, then add garlic and cook for another minute. Add the wine and reduce it by half, then add the tomato sauce, water, and KIF heat. Season with Knorr Professional Fish Bouillon Base and black pepper.
- Bring the sauce to a slow simmer and cook for 25 minutes, without boiling. Adjust seasonings with salt and pepper as needed. Set sauce aside. Add additional KIF heat to increase spice if desired.

Prepare the Shrimp
- Pre-heat sauté pan over medium heat. For each order, add oil and 10 shrimp. Season to taste with Knorr Professional Fish Bouillon Base and black pepper. Cook for about 30 seconds. Flip the shrimp and add 6 oz. of the sauce directly to the pan. Cook another 30 seconds and serve.
Tips/Highlights
- Offer 2 sides to create a meal such as white rice, sweet potatoes, broccoli, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, etc.
- Use a proper container that can hold sauce.
