Prepare BBQ Demi- Braising Sauce

Prepare the BBQ Beef

  • Beef chuck, cubed 4.0 kg
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Vegetable oil 60.0 ml

Prepare the Quesadillas

  • Spinach Tortilla Wraps, 12" 10.0 each
  • Monterey-Jack Cheese, shredded 2.5 kg
  • Sour cream, regular 500.0 ml
  • Guacamole, prepared 750.0 g
  • Limes, cut into wedges, for garnish 5.0 each

Shredded BBQ beef is the perfect filling for cheesy quesadillas. Braising the beef in a combination of Knorr Demi Glace and BBQ sauce makes it simple to prep and keeps the meat tender and juicy with bold flavour. The beef can also be used for nachos, tacos, and so much more.

Preparation

  1. Prepare BBQ Demi- Braising Sauce

    • Using a large saucepan, combine the Knorr Demi Glace powderwith the BBQ sauce and the water. Slowly bring to a boil and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the BBQ Beef

    • Preheat oven to 180 C.
    • Seasonthe Cubed Beefwith salt and pepper. Add oil to a large braising pan and brown the beef on all sides.
    • Transferbeef to a large hotel pan & cover with BBQ/Demi Sauce.Cover and cook for 3 hours at 180 C.Allow to restand shred/Pull the BBQ beef.
  3. Prepare the Quesadillas

    • For each portion, place a tortilla over a medium-high flat top or non-stick pan. Add approx. 250 g of cheese using a portioning spoon and top with pulled beef. Brown both sides and cut into 4 pieces. Using a squeeze bottle, drizzle the top of quesadillas with the sour cream and serve with a side of guacamole and lime wedges
