A-Pear-Itif

Pair elderflowers and pears in this boozy cocktail. The Knorr® Ultimate Intense Flavours Citrus Fresh really pushes this drink over the top, featured in both the cordial and the cocktail preparation.

Ingredients per serving
Prepare the Elderflower Cordial

Water 1.5 L

Elderflower clusters 25.0 each

Finely grated zest and juice of a lemon 3.0 each

Finely grated zest and juice of an orange 3.0 each

Sugar, granulated white 900.0 g

Citric acid 5.0 g
Prepare the A-Pear-Atif

Lebanese cucumber, chopped 17.0 g

Vodka, pear 45.0 ml
-
Knorr-infused elderflower cordial, prepared 45.0 ml

Gin 45.0 ml

Lime juice, freshly squeezed 30.0 ml
Preparation

Prepare the Elderflower Cordial
- Bring the water to a boil. Place the elderflowers in a large container and add the lemon and orange zests.
- Pour the boiling water over the elderflowers and the zests. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Strain the mixture into a saucepan and add the sugar, citric acid, lemon and orange juice and Knorr Ultimate Intense Flavours Citrus Fresh.
- Bring to a simmer to dissolve the sugar.
- Cool to room temperature, transfer to a sterilized bottle and keep refrigerated.
- Use to make boozy or virgin cocktails or sorbet.

Prepare the A-Pear-Atif
- Muddle the cucumber with the vodka.
- In a shaker ⅔ full of crushed ice, combined the muddled cucumber/vodka mix, Knorr cordial, gin, Knorr Ultimate Intense Flavours Citrus Fresh and lime juice.
- Shake well and strain into 2 well-chilled cocktail glasses and top with one large square ice cube.
